Twisted Fern Designs has been creating high quality cruelty free, sustainable Jewellery since June 2017. After living and working in the remote mountains of the Great Bear Rainforest, British Columbia, Victoria was inspired to provide an earth kind alternative to mass produced fast fashion items. Her love of nature and passion for creating can be seen in all of her unique creations.
Each piece is individually designed and created with 100% recycled sterling silver, sustainably harvested Portuguese Cork Cord and small batch, hand-picked, mine free European gems.
A crochet addict since 2015 and a history geek since the 1990s, Victoria wanted to modernise centuries old crochet and lacework techniques, bringing them to contemporary audiences, creating elegant piece of wearable art.
Crocheting sterling silver wire produces an intricate, lace-like effect. Knotting the silver in such a way creates a finished product that is flexible, light and extremely durable. Recycled silver is an eco-friendly alternative to environmentally damaging mass mined metals. It is reclaimed from medical and industrial machinery then given a new lease of life as a unique piece of eco jewellery. Victoria truly believes that living consciously doesn’t have to compromise style. She continues to grow and focuses on creating unique style pieces that don’t cost the earth, that you can feel good about wearing and gifting.
In 2018 Twisted Fern Designs is relocating from the UK to British Columbia, Canada in hopes of growing, living and creating beautiful pieces for conscious consumers worldwide.
Follow the slow fashion journey on social media, this is definitely just the beginning for this unique brand.
