Miao embroidery is a tradition over 500 years old where the embroider actually weaves metal thread into beautiful and delicate patterns. Long Nv San Jiu, a fouth-generation tin embroider is worried that the art will die out, as more and more young girls are reluctant to pursue the lifelong craft. It can take up to a year to make an outfit with embroided tin but despite this, these women love their craft and find more beauty with it every day, and it’s not hard to see why.
